Deleted Admin user and gruop
is there a way to recreate or recover the administrator account and group in a windows 2000 server pc? it is deleted and the current account are limited users only.

If he was the admin I belive he could restore by metods recomended !!!

who's to say that even if you can restore the admin account/group that you still wont have system problems........

I was thinking if he can still log on to server even with limited account he should be able to use CMD and if he was originaly admin of that server only thing standing on his path would be administrators password!!!

but its going to look at the account he is running under as limited and deny him unless he can add the switch to each command for the username and password of an admin account, but its not going to find any admin account since they are all deleted

The best way should be for admin to restore everything from backup, hopefuly he was backing up everything???

yes, this is a scenario where all the accounts are limited users even the admin groups are deleted, I belive there is no way unless there is a regitry hack to restore the account ID.

Limited users can't edit the registry - so that's a dead end.
