Exclamation WinXP restarts over and over when istalling drivers

Hi Everyone,

This is my first build. Installed Windows Xp and partitioned hard drive. However everytime I try and load a driver or install anything it crashes and restarts.

Upon restart an error message is displayed I click on send to report the error and it says ther is an unrecoverable hardware error but that ther is not enough info to determine specific component and continues on to impempending doom!

Here is my system

AMD Venice 3500, Biostar Nvidia NF4UL-A9 mb, Seagate 7200.10 SATA 320 gb hdd, Nexus 500w psu, Kingston hyperx 1GB pc3200 DDR SRAM memory

I have erased and reinstalled system from disc- same problem occurs

Someone from another site told me to type eventvmr.msc andl ist errors, however I have not heard back from them in a couple of days. Here is the list.

First up application errors.

1. WinMgmt- A Rsop planning mode providor has been registered in the WMI namespace,root\RSOP, but did not specify hostingmodel property. This account is privleged and the provider may cause a secutity violation if it does not correctly impersonate user requests. Ensure provider hasbeen reviewed for security and update hosting model property to an account with the least privleges possible for required functionality.

2. CmdTriggerConsumer, has been registered in the WMI namespace,Root\cimv2. This account is privleged....

3. HiPerfCooker_v1 has been registered in WMI namespace,Roo\Wmi, to use the local system account. This account...

Now for system errors.

1. Error code 0000009c, parameter1 00000004, parameter2 80545ff0, parameter3 b2000000, parameter4 0070f0f

I am new at this so you may have to spell thing out for me.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

What exactly happens when the computer restarts? Does it go through all the motions of a graceful shutdown and restart or does it abruptly power down?

Control panel, system, advanced, startup and recovery. Uncheck the box for restart on error. Next time, it will bluescreen and not restart. Read the first few lines of the bluescreen for clues.

Thanks for ressponding

Hey guys,

Thanks for taking the time to help. I unckecked the auto restart and it keeps doing the same thing it wont go to blue screen.

Also it does gracefully restart each and every time.

Have you guys heard of this before?

Did I do something stupid. I promise all I did was load the operating system.

This is my first post I hope it is appropriate.

I promise I don't want to waste anybodys time.

Thanks again for all your help past and future

That sounds more like a hardware issue.

For glc/ administrator

Hi,

I am new at this and I want to follow the rules. Should I post this issue in the hardware forum or would that be considered a double post

no continue posting on this thread since it's related to your original post. otherwise it will make it harder for people to help troubleshoot your issue since they will have to go back and forth from two different threads

Please post the complete system specs for this computer. List the parts by brand and model including the power supply.

You might want to test your RAM with Memtest86+.

You might also want to test your hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic utility.

Here is a link for your Seagate hardrive for their seatools program..

http://www.seagate.com/support/seatools/

Here is a link to memtest86

http://www.memtest86.com/

If you have more than one stick of ram, remove and install only one and reboot and see what happens. If it works try the other one by itself.. If that works then run memtest86..

Acording to this article your PSU is of good quality...

DD5, that version is old and no longer developed. You want www.memtest.org.

This behavior occurs because your computer processor detected and reported an unrecoverable hardware error to Windows XP.
