Disk all of a sudden FULL

All,

Went to system this morning and there was a message to run a clean disk because it was close to being full. I just checked it a few weeks ago and I had about 15 gigs of free space. I have not loaded a thing and I know my wife and daughter really don't use it. I did the clean and nothing really happened other than a general clean was done. So I have a 2 gig portable HD and tried to do a backup from a 36 gig disk (c) drive to this 2 gig portable and I keep running out of room. All I want is to put some of the files I need to save on it.

This windows backup wizard does it work? Is it any good?

Does anyone know why I may have a full disk and what I might do to find out if I have a virus. I am running mcAffee and have a firewall and all that.

Where on the disk can I look to see whats up?
I see no extra files

Thanks,
Steve

Is it possible you are trying to backup more files then what the porable drive can hold? Try backing up a single file or folder and see what happens. Maybe it is trying to backup the entire 36gig. good luck

No, he is asking you not to post multiple threads on the same issue yourself, which is what you did. I'm closing this thread, continue in the linked one, please.
