Inspiron 8200 with XP
Hi guys
not sure if this is in the right place .... I recently formatted and re-installed windows on my laptop (with the restore CD)cause i was having lots of problems, not every time it goes to standby mode, after ideling or closing the lid, the screen wont come back on after opening and i have to shut it down and restart. Other than that everything seems to work fine...any ideas....could i be missing a driver? |

It *should* come back on if you press the power button briefly.

thats the first thing i tried...it doenst do it all the time, so far only after extended periods of time

Check the hibernation/power options in Display Properties, the default settings from the restore disc may be different than what you had running.

checked that already too...has been ok lately but I do now occasionally get an error when starting up that says the "the amount of system memory has changed " press F1 to continue or F8 ......
i wonder if somethign else is going on |
