Windows screen: bottom taskbar

OK, I made some sort of change on my Windows XP Media Center desktop. The start button, normally on the bottom left, and the accompanying bar, is now vertical on the right of the screen. Not sure what I did, but it is driving me NUTS!

I have tried all sorts of means, dragging, resetting to default, etc, but I cannot get the bar and start button back to the bottom of the screen.

Help, anyone?

You should be able to click and drag from an empty area of the taskbar to move it back to the bottom. Make sure it is unlocked. (Right click on taskbar, uncheck "Lock Taskbar")

It has been unlocked, that was not the issue. I simply could not find the correct place to grab the taskbar. I kept trying the edges, and that clearly does not work. So I took the advice above, grabbed the insde of the bar, and moved it.

Thank god! And you guys...lol!

Whew! Back to normal....
