Unable to access 'My Documents'
I have a laptop I brought into a computer store for a friend...it was responding slow and having some weird problems. The guy there said he found some viruses and spyware he removed and he was installing some Win XP updates to finish it up.
Now, the XP installation hangs at the same point everytime, no matter what XP installation CD he uses. I would let him do a clean install, but she needs some data out of her My Documents folder. When her HD is hooked up to another machine to allow access, it won't let me get into the my documents folder. I know her username and password, but obviously her laptop won't bootup to allow me to login. How can I get the documents I need? |
