Wmp 11
WMP 11 has now been released, has anybody installed it yet? any installation issues?? incompatibility issues? is it much better than WMP 10?

I installed it yesterday. It keeps all your previous settings. So far I haven't had any problems and I like the new look

I installed it and couldn't get the radio stations I like. It kept saying, "Codecs required." The only stations I could get were NPR. So, I uninstalled it and went back to WMP9.
If you have system restore active when you install it, the rollback is simple. |

I installed it, everything worked perfectly, diddnt have any problems with radio stations

I'm waiting till Movie Link makes it mandatory.
Since that's the only thing I use media player for, barring the occasional NPR broadcast, when it's good to go with them it'll be OK by me.

I have had a few very irritating problems with WMP 11. For some reason, it will just decide that it doesn't want to see any of my music files. Nothing shows up in the Library and nothing can be added. I haven't figured out anyway to fix this other than doign system restore back to when it was working. I have tried getting rid of it and going back to 10 but for whatever reason, it won't work. I regret ever upgrading.

Typical first adopter issues. It's not necessarily Microsoft's fault - everyone else that uses WMP needs to update their stuff to work with it too. This is the main reason M$ releases beta versions of new software - it's not necessarily for the public, it's to allow other vendors to update their stuff to work with it.

I installed it, used it to play few movies, and switched back to media player classic. wmp11 is quite a heavy program. I could care less how nice it looks like, and I still cannot find any "stay on top option" while playing unlike the classic one.
