Windows XP Wipe (Certain Files Wanted Saved)
HELP!!!
I'm running Windows XP Right Now But I've Got Some Kind Of Virus. I Want To Wipe My System Clean But I Want To Save My "My Documents" Files & My Media Files (Songs,Videos,Etc...) How Can I Do This? Please e-mail Me vblackrebel@hotmail.com |

Save them to some kind of external media - USB flash keys, external hard drives, DVD or CD recordables.

If you can not save the files directly from the HD while in your OS, pull the drive and place it as a slave/ non boot drive if SATA- in another PC and then pull the files onto the external media. Scan the heck out of this before placing it back into your replaced HD newly wiped and re installed otherwise the whole thing will have to be done again. For that matter scan it as a slave/secondary drive before pulling the files.
