If you want to stop it from running automatically whan windows boots up, then you can use the msconfig utility, and go the hthe startup tab and uncheck any unnecessary programs from there.

I had a feeling thats what you meant, and I can not answer your question, but removing all unnecessary items from startup may perhaps help with the PC locking up problem.

If the computer is freezing during gaming, then you may some hardware issues like a weak PSU or something with the video card(overheating/going bad).

Please post the Brand and model of the PSU. Should be a label on the PSU.

BF2 is not going to run very well on a 6200. That's still a pretty low end card.

Do you have the exact motherboard and processor models? Can you read out the CPU temperatures and the power supply voltages?

Go to www.sis.com, choose downloads, drill in, and get the AGP GART driver and install it.

Still waiting for the data on your power supply.

You may want to downgrade your Nvidia graphics drivers to a somewhat older version. There's a link for archived drivers at the Nvidia site.

Trial and error. The 6xxx series cards don't really care for the 9xxx series drivers from what I hear.

That's an awfully cheap power supply. It may not be giving you proper stable voltages. *NO* $20 500 watt unit is going to have any kind of quality to it.
