installing xp on new hard drive
after installing most of the windows xp software on a new formatted hard drive I get this error message:
Sub-component COM+ raised an exception while processing the oc_complete_Installation setup message. d:\nt\com1x\src\complussetup\comsetup\ccompluscore.cpp (line565) Error Code = 0x80040206 an unexpected internal error was detected theCOM+ event classes could not be registered. then the system restarts. any ideas? david |

figured out!
 i was getting more error messages besides this one shortly after trying to re install it over again. my system is overclocked and i decided to lower the memory. guess what? it worked. i should of noticed that but didnt think anything of it. david |

A word to the wise - ALWAYS remove any overclocking when installing an operating system and software!
