Real Player & Wmp Problem

Both my Real player and WMP have recently started to show weird problems when listening online to radio stations. The real player run arrow changes from green to red or amber and along with it the sound either starts to fade and warble or drop out altogether. The WMP becomes distorted with a long echo and again can drop out altogether.Whilst this is going on no other programmes are running and CPU idle is at 99%.Starting other high usage programmes up, such as SKYPE do not make it any worse. I have run various tests for spyware and viruses but nothing shows up, also defragged including paging file. Any ideas as to what common problem can cause this to occur please.

First off, if you haven't updated either recently, or gotten any Windows updates, do that.

Also, for Real, I would recommend checking out RealAlternative (http://www.codecguide.com/download_real.htm) - it's much easier on your system and has always worked well for me.

What i am trying to say here is that both were working OK and both systems showed up problems at the same time, i think it is a computer problem and not a real or WMP problem. I am wondering what could cause the problem, audio is perfect when playing CDs or music files.
Incidently i have the the Real player Enterprise edition which i think is superior as no ads are attached.
