Will Not Boot Up

I have a hp pavilion xt938. It will not boot up no matter what I choose from the screen. It says choose one:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with networking
Safe Mode with command prompt
Last Known good config
Start wndows normaly

The computer will not boot any typeof repair disc

Back ground: I bought a new computer and uninstalled a slew of prgrams I never used as I didn't want them installed in my new one. I then ran disc cleanup and shut it down.
Any Ideas?

do you have the cd-rom drive set as the first boot device to boot to the disc to run the repair option?

if you can boot to the xp disc, go to the recovery console and run a chkdsk /p
then reboot if still nothing, then run a repair on your system

I can not boot anything. I can not get passed choosing how I want to boot on the opening screen no matter what kind of disc I try.

you have to change the boot order in the bios and put the cd rom first, then put in your windows xp (i'm assuming you have xp, if not please correct me) and after you get past the bios it should say in the top left corner press any key to boot to the cd.

if the boot options screen comes up (safe mode, safe mode with networking, etc)then you have already passed the point where you boot to the windows cd.
