boot to the xp cd and go to the recovery console. select the instance of windows you want to work with and enter the administrator password, then run checkdisk

chkdsk /p after its complete try booting back into windows if still unsuccessful, boot back to the xp cd and run a repair

The blue screen that pops up is a BSOD (blue screen of death) this screen contains a code that can help diagnose what is wrong with your system, it is important to try and get into Windows to "Switch Off" the option to restart after a system failure, this will keep the BSOD visible on your screen and allow you to post back the code here so that we can research the code and hopefully identify the fault.
When you get the boot option screen (black screen white writing) can you select "Safe Mode" and see if Windows will boot to safe mode?
