fqpissed XP proiblem

have encountered what i think is a trohan horse virus (11/28)

ran AVG , AVAST (anti virals), Spybot and Ad-aware.

ANtivirals caught and supposedly deleted the trojan. Spybot/Ad-aware caught/deleted spyware/adds..

yet--i still see the red circular "windows has detected spyware infection" icon in taskbar-and the pop up "your computer is infected--press icon for windows antispyware..."

I press icon> nothing happens.

what is going on?..ie...has the virus been deleted..if so..why the continued red icon/popup?

suggestions welcome

what shld i check in the registry (if anything??)??

TX

This is probably one of those misleading sites that tries to get you to buy their software to get rid of a nonexistant problem.
Try running an online scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com
