Error opening installation log file. Verfify that the specified log file
location exists and is writable."
This isthe message that appears when I try to install Office 2000
The message that appears when doing the printer is the same although it starts the installation
This is that message that appears"All-in-One"
installation tab gets to 54%. When I click OK the tab goes to 100%, then the
message appears again.

take a look at your application and system event logs for any failure items that pertain to installing office and your hp printer. they should give you an event id which will really help in pinpointing the exact error/problem.

start>control panel>administrative tools>event viewer

I would also check the condition of the office 2000 disk. Look for smudges, scratches, etc. How about the optical drive itself? Is this being loaded from an older CD ROM drive or is it new? It seems rather odd that more then one disk have problems loading their installation files.

I can load other programs with the CD Rom Drive so doubt if it is the CD Rom. Have installed camera and other devices. Just these two can`t do .
