Downloading problem with Microsoft Update
Have dowloaded update KB885222 but when i try to run on my computer i can see the files rush by and then i get a message access is denied, please assist.

Do you have an 1394a or 1394b FireWire device installed? If not, you don't need the update...
If you do have one and are have issue with it try downloading it from here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885222/en-us

Yes i have just fitted a 1394 card but i am having problems getting my DV Camera to do anything although all looks OK, ie. Card and camera are recognised so i thought i would try that fix. I downloaded it from the site already but it will not install getting that message in my previous post.

The update came out-> Release Date: December 17, 2004
Look in Add/Remove Programs and see if it's already installed... |
