Unaccounted for Hard-drive space. What takes it up?

Hi everybody, I recently checked my C partition for space and it shows that out of 13gb only 1.3gb is available. I do realize that there are some games I have installed that take up too much space. I have uninstalled them proceeded to count the space by folder. I counted every folder in the drive directory and it all adds up to about 9gb out of 13gb, yet the drive shows I only have 1. gb free space.

What might be the reason for this? Is this only the 1.5gb system Page File function? I checked properties of my computer and it says that this page file serves as if it were ram?

Is this function really helpful to my windows operations? or can its paging file be reduced?

What other hidden processes might be taking up my harddrive space?

Thanks very much,
Yuriy

use this tool, it will tell you whats eating up your hard drive space and will give you a graphical representation down to the specific folder where all the data is.

Pagefile and system restore. Move the pagefile to another partition that has more room and disable system restore.
