win 2000 service pack 4

my question is.
I had to buy a new hard drive so got it installed it than put the windows 2000 disk in it loaded windows first doing the format etc . So that done I set up all hardware installed some software did my windows update and than had to leave the computer while I was absent other people went in on the computer setup users and they tried to do some windows updates but as I had told them one other time had to use administrator to download any updates from windows and also to install software.
The name on the computer was of course the name put in as windows was loaded. This was the place I did all my downloads I did. But when they did them went into the administrator and did them set up another page for it the one with the computer name was left no password was put in for that since than they added another user and for some reason that user gets into the page I had listed for the name on the windows installation and of course that has a password.now. Everytime windows signs in now it goes to the log in for the name on the computer and I try to get in says wrong log in or password i did not have a password for that so now I would like to get rid of that not sure if you understand what I am trying to tell you or not but hope you understand soem of it.
Thanks

Log in as administrator and change the password on the other account or disable that account. Right click My Computer, manage, local users and groups.

I went into the computer just using administrator and once in there the name which I was referring to is not listed at all so can`t disable it and it pops up everytime the computer is restarted or started up I delete the name and put in administrator and than sign in that way and it works but it sure is annoying to get that name everytime .
The name it puts is is the name that I have the windows registered to that you put in when you install windows so am wondering if anyway i can get rid of that or not . If so how . Do thank you for help

Send a message via AIM to Panama Red
Change the registered owner name and see if that helps.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

You can also change the Organization in the same area.

start>run>gpedit
local computer policy>computer configuration>windows settings>Security settings>Local Policies>security options>look for "interactive logon do not display last user name" and enable it.

restart your pc
