Booting Sound
I'm perplexed. I have P4 laptop(IBM ThinkPad), 30GB HDD, 2GHz Processor which works properly. The only problem is that I do not hear the traditional booting sound when windows comes on. I know the sound card is ok because it plays music well and so on. But when it goes on off, I do not hear that traditional booting music.
What could be wrong?

It could be turned off. In control panel, sounds and devices, you can turn off individual sound features.
