Windows synchronization deleted files: Can I get them back?

Hi All,

Can anyone help.

I have moved all of my documents from a Windows XP PC onto a Windows 2003 server. I deleted them from my PC as I thought they would be backed up on the server.

As soon as I logged out of my workstation the PC synchronised with the server and deleted all of my documents which I copied over. I guess it looked at what was on my hard drive and copied nothing and deleted my documents on the server.

Is their any way to recover them? Also how to I stop my workstation from scnchronising when I close down as it will just do it again.

Any help would be great as i`ve lots of documents missing!

Thanks,

Keith

You can search PCMech for "data recovery" and try running on both machines...

You need to STOP using both machines to increase your slim odds of getting any data back.
