Windows synchronization deleted files: Can I get them back?
Hi All,
Can anyone help. I have moved all of my documents from a Windows XP PC onto a Windows 2003 server. I deleted them from my PC as I thought they would be backed up on the server. As soon as I logged out of my workstation the PC synchronised with the server and deleted all of my documents which I copied over. I guess it looked at what was on my hard drive and copied nothing and deleted my documents on the server. Is their any way to recover them? Also how to I stop my workstation from scnchronising when I close down as it will just do it again. Any help would be great as i`ve lots of documents missing! Thanks, Keith |

You can search PCMech for "data recovery" and try running on both machines...
You need to STOP using both machines to increase your slim odds of getting any data back.
