Possiable intall Windows Xp disc on two computers??
hey just wondering if it ipossiable to use a operating system disk installed on two different computers...my mothers laptop computer is messed up and wondering if i reformat the drive with my xp home.then use her drives disc for the rest of the software..registering with her COA Number on her computer....
 she sent it to repair and they install xp pro!! on it ...when the COA say its for home....i tried the reboot cd that came with it but it doesnt work....so they could of blanked all the backup format part of the hard drive...any help would be welcome thanks

If the license on the COA is the same type as your XP Home CD (OEM, retail, etc). Then technically you should be alright. The idea behind licensing is that the COA is your actual license. the CD is just the content medium.

Yes, as long as both versions of XP are the same. If they are both Home OEM, it should work.
