Wmp Problem With Wav Files
I have suddenly lost the ability to play WAV files on my WMP10, updated to 11 still the same, i get this messageAttachment 6492
I have checked all file associations are ticked, this happens with files on computer and files on web. VLC player still plays these WAV files OK, so codec is OK and i have checked with Sherlock that it is in computer.I have looked at Microsoft for the error code C00D1199 but this is no help. VLC does not use codecs. You may want to install a codec pack - the K-Lite is decent, try the basic, then the standard. Even Basic comes with GSpot to analyze the files.

I have had Klite codec pack for a couple of years thanks.Do you think it worth reloading.

Hi GLC, I dont know what is going on here, i have taken K-lite pack out and lo and behold WAVs are now running in WMP OK. So i guess ill wait and see what does not run prior to reloading K-lite.
