nero 7.5.70 is compatilble with win9x-me-nt-xp...

anyways, Directx9c is included in the NERO CD [ be it retail or OEM]
or you can download it here:

http://www.canadiancontent.net/tech/...ectX_9.0C.html

you need the following files if you are using win 95:
50comupd.exe
dcom95.exe
msvcrt.exe
oleupd.exe
downloadable from: http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/Windows_95.html

you need the following files if you are using win 98:
50comupd.exe
dcom98.exe
downloadable from: http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/Windows_98.html

I wonder why the system requirements I found on the Nero site show this?

System Requirements

General system requirements
Microsoft® Windows Vista Home/Business/Ultimate, Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4 or later); Windows XP; Windows MCE 2005, Windows 2003 server
XP Professional x64 Edition (all applications besides InCD, Nero Scout and Nero ImageDrive work in the x86 emulator that allows 32-bit Windows applications to run)
Microsoft® Windows Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
