Question What Windows update file can I delete?

Hi,
I partitioned my HDD a year ago, giving 20GB for Windows and Programs installation and the rest 100GB for data. It seems plenty of space at that time. Windows XP takes up less than 1 GB and 19GB for other applications. Then, it came with all those XP patches, fixes and updates every other days. The Windows folder alone has grown to 10GB! Now, every other day, I get the warning message that my C: drive disk space is too low. What shall I do? What windows update files can I delete to free up space? It does not makes sense that operating system alone taking up 10GB!
Thanks.

Try this first. Open Disk Cleanup, More Options tab, Cleanup under System Restore, delete all but the last Restore point (this assumes you have System Restore turned on and that your machine has been running stable enough to not need these restore points). Then go back to the Disk Cleanup tab and select all the files to delete. DO NOT select compress files. See if that frees up some space for ya.

Thanks.
I'm able to free up 1GB. Windows directory size is now down from 10GB to 9GB. This is still not good. I went through sub-folder one by one and found "installer" folder alone is 5GB! There are many sub-folders names as {.......}, whole bunch of hexadecimal numbers. Files are *.msi files. Filename are some hexadecimal numbers. Can I delete those or move them to my other partition that has 100GB?
