switching from xp pro to home edition?
The other day when i booted up my computer it tole me that my version of xp was illegal and that i needed to fix it. I was wondering something about the difference between home and pro editions. Right now i haw xp pro and i was wondering how hard it is to switch to home edition to save a little money. I know that if i bought pro edetion i could just change the key and be done, but could i also do the same thing between pro and home editions. Will it just disable teh extra features that pro adds or do i have to completely reinstall everything?
Thanks in advance Ben |

Nope, no key changing from Pro to Home. You'd need to do a fresh install. A Repair Install wouldn't work either. If you want to keep everything intact, you're best off buying Pro. Check the PC Mech Trading Post. One of our members, kram 2.0, had a very nice deal on XP Pro listed.
