Advice,w2000 cdw software.

Hi all I am installing W2000 on an older PC. I’m having problems with the burner software.
Easy CD Creator 2. something. When I installed the software I got a stop error. I am not at home today so I don’t have precise details sorry.

I did read the Microsoft page on compatibility problems with older Easy CD Creator and W2000. I would like to stay away from modifying things to make Easy CD Creator work with W2000. I read Easy CD Creator 4.2 works but how do I upgrade when 2.? locks things up.

I am thinking of going with different software, freeware. Like Deep Burner. I just need to do some data burning and the odd mp3. There is a plethora of freeware out there, too hard to pick one. I’m looking for something clean and user friendly. I can get system details later if needed.

If you have any experience in this area I would appreciate hearing it.

Thanks a bunch.
Stephen

There is no way 2.x is going to install on Win2K. Deepburner will work fine.
