Defragment tools
Hello all,
I have noticed online that there are tools for defragment of XP. What are the advantages over the normal XP defrag tool, and are they any good? Thanks in advance Jack |

I use and recommend Diskeeper Pro. It can adjust the size of the master file table, defrag the pagefile, and automatically defrag in the background when needed.

free ones
There is a Diskkeeper Lite (free), O&O Defrag 2000 Free, AusLogics Disk Defrag all free & recommended at several forums. I use them all, no problems.
Diskkeeper & O&O will not run in Safe Mode for a fuller defrag. Diskkeeper also keeps XP defrag from working until it is removed. Sysinternals has a free page defrag I like all the great people that offer free PC help & programs that do the job. Les |
