pc no turn off! me no likey!

heya,
I just finished building my first PC and had no problems with it for for the first week or so, but just recently its started to take abolutley ages to turn off, and for the last couple of times its just frozen on the picture of the desptop with no icons on. so ive had to hold down the power button to kill it. The computers got 2 gigs of ram so i doubt that its being overloaded
anyone got an ideas as to what it could be?

Which background programs are running on your computer? What anti-virus are you using?

supply a list of FULL system spec of every piece of hard ware and software installed....

this coulc be a hardware or software issue.... unless you supply 100% of everything...we'll end up chasing circles as you do...

we need to know exact model numbers of all parts you have....

DFI makes several infinity boards.... crucial makes several varieties of 2gb of ram...you see where I am going with this...?..
