wifi not working..

on my dell laptop not even 4 months old my wifi is being weird... when i start the computer up the little wifi LED comes on indicating that theres wifi near, so i click on windows wifi manager and it shows me all the available networks, but it wont connect to any of them, not even my preferred ones. Could i have disabled something?

Uninstall the wifi drivers and reinstall them - download the latest ones from Dell.

Are these networks that you have been able to connect to previously?

Are you presented with an error message when trying to connect or does it just never complete the connection?

i see an error message that says "windows could not connect to any of your preferred wireless connections" or something to that effect. and yes i've been able to connect to them before. My laptop is set to dual boot with vista and i am getting the same problem in vista... Tried updating the drivers, still nothing. The fact that the card will pick up the surrounding wifi but wont connect makes me believe its NOT the card, but at the same time im having the same problem in vista makes me believe it IS the card... i dont know, anyone wanna help?

In that case, it probably is the card. You still on warranty?

Yes i am, but i just messed with it a little and found it will connect to unsecured networks fine... but any networks that have passwords on them it will not connect to... my job has a wifi network that is secured and its kinda important that i get on it when at work, is there a setting on the computer somewhere that messes with the security of a network? i cant figure out if the card is bad or what the deal is.
