laoding xp problems

My dad has an old computer(Celeron 533 MHZ) that would not boot up because it was missing a file. It was runing windows 98 and he didn't have his cd. So I installed xp. It installed with no problems and was runing fine. I then installed his People Pc software and restarted and I started getting error messages. I have tried everything I know to do and I keep coming back to the same error messages. It has some digital pictures that are very important. I don't want to take it to someone and spend money on a machine this old. Any help would be appreciated.

There are lots of setup errors, but they are all because of same 99error.

Setup cannot register the OLE control C:\Windows.......*.dll
because of the error
LoadLibrary returned erro 999 {3e7}

Uninstall the PeoplePC software. Then reinstall XP in the repair mode, procedures are in the Tips and Tricks forum.

Start it in safe mode and use system restore to set it back to before you installed the software.
