Cloning current Win XP installation
I hope this is the right forum for this question. My current C: drive is ab 60gb ide hard drive several years old. I acquired a new 200gb sata hard drive & would like to clone the old HD to the new one using Acronis True Image. My question is, in doing so will I beable to clone it without having to reactivate Win XP again?
I have had this purchased OEM holograph Win XP disc since 12/2002 & have used it on several upgrades to my system ie: new mobo ,hdds CPU,GPU . In other words nothing is from the origional build. I have had to call MS numerous & talked to the polite person with a dialect which was a little hard for me to understand & don't care to go through that again if I can avoid it. I would like to make this as simple as possible. Thanks |

Changing just the hard drive should not fire the activation trigger.
