cannot delete old app

hey i was downloading this program for my ipod but it got cutoff half way through. now it's on my desktop and it won't let me delete it. it's called ipodsetup.exe and when i try to delete it an error comes up and says a program is using it. how can i get rid of this. thanks

alright that worked out but i tried to get rid of some other ones, through the add/remove programs, and it said it failed to launch install.log or something like that. what should i do now. thanks by the way

The ones that tell you that have been partially or incorrectly uninstalled - like maybe you just deleted the program folder instead of doing an uninstall the correct way?

probably partiall installed but i'm not sure. is there any way to get rid of them or do i just have to deal with it.

I have had success when I have a stubborn app that won't uninstall. Re-install the app, reboot and then uninstall. Just make sure you reinstall to the same directory that the original install was in.

that didn't work but i ended up just going through the registry and taking out the files there. worked good. thanks for the help guys.
