When Restore won't restore anymore
I am sure you guys have been over this before, but I couldn't find it.
Dear old MS automatic updates are Godlike. Sometimes they giveith, sometimes they takeith away. When our restore says no can do. Is the problem in XP or is it in IE? I usually dump everything and reload my hard drive, I am sure that is overkill. What is the easiest way to recover from this problem? Thanks Guys |

Uninstall the problematic update using add/remove programs.

I tried ...
I tried what you suggested but it made no difference. Still says can not restore.
I deleted the last three updates but no changes. |

If you have an XP CD with SP2, do a repair reinstall.
