Xp key problem

HI. We had bought Windows Xp Pro. Rebuilt puter and now wants a new product key. Says the product key we have isnt valid. What do we do??

Where did you buy the copy of XP, and is it a genuine holographic CD from Microsoft? Is the CD key on a genuine certificate of authenticity?

Time to call Microsoft.

Are you sure you are reading the key correctly? It can be hard to tell the difference between an 8 and a B, for example.
