can't get past windows login after cleaning files
I screwed up! I used Easycleaner software to clean up my registry internet files etc. When I tried "delete duplicate files" I screwed things up big time. My mouse and keyboard will not work when I get to the windows login, so I can't get in to try a system restore. I obviously deleted some drivers or something. I tried safe mode, the mouse & keyboard work for that, but it always comes down to the windows login screen then the mouse & keyboard won't work. Same with Acronis, it gets me to the login point, that's it. I have a backup on an external HD, but I can't seem to get the 'puter to recognize the drive either from safe mode or Acronis. Please help! Thank you.

What version of Windows is damaged on that machine?
I had a customer do the same thing and it ended up with a format and reinstall as he didn't have the original XP disk in order to do a repair install, this is one of the reasons why whenever I recommend EasyCleaner, I tell people not to touch the duplicate file analyser.
