MS upgrade avenues/issues
Decided to purchase an os for a new build w/ upgrade coupon to Vista. Snoozed just long enough to miss out on the truly free upgrade (w/ purchase of MCE) to Vista Home Premium.
Only thing now is full blown retail Home,Pro,and the upgrades of each.Read reviews on Newegg and heck... you can only hold so much stock in these.Need info from people who are truly up to speed on the abilities to upgrade not only the os to vista but to upgrade your computer while still retaining your os. Questions... 1. No reactivation (of an OEM version) after a significant parts upgrade? 2.Serious compatibility issues w/ games and security apps. when buying 64 bit versions?(Finding drivers too?) 3. How do you get the Vista upgrade anyway?(Without the hassles) Thanks all!! |
