Can't boot Windows after Linux CD Live
I was trying to run a Linux CD or USB drive, and at one point I found myself in a partition program, at whick point I shut down. Too late, now Windows won't boot.
It seems to me I was able to reinstall XP once before, without loosing my other data... is that right? Can't remember the option to pick. |

This may be a job for the repair console - bootcfg, fixboot, fixmbr.

Found out the program already had destroryed the partiion info, which Winodws couln't fix. So I had to do a complete reinstall. Good thing I had just saved all vital info on the weekend.
Ah well, I had the computer for over two years and had been trying and delting a lot of third party programs, probably time for a re-install. |
