XP prof and AVG free
Hi, I installed XP professional on a computer. I am putting AVG free on it but after a restart it says license number is invalid cause my comp is a work station machine. I only use it at home so is there any way of changing this so I can get AVG free to work.
HELP PLEASE |

Where are you getting the AVG Free from? I've never seen that happen. Do you have a network at home or is this a standalone machine?

I got the AVG free from the grisoft.com website. I found out that there is a network card attached to the motherboard which cant be removed. I solved the problem by downloading an old version of AVG free and then update it. This is working fine. It is a stand alone machine which probably was a part of a network before it was purchased.
