How do I add a scroll bar to DOS in nt please?

It is generally a lot more civil to type the words *bump* than to comment on the level of help the volunteers on this site provide. Sometimes threads just go unnoticed by people and you can call attention to it by bumping it to the top.
You want to add a scroll bar as in increase the buffer history or to increase the display? Keep in mind that this can only be done in the cmd command shell (and not command.com shell). Start a command shell (start > run cmd) From the top right corner (the C:\logo) click on it and select Properties Make sure that the Options > Command History buffer is large enough (about 50 is the default) Then go to the Layout tab > and increase the Screen buffer height to be greater than the Window size height. See if you like it. Once you've reached satisfactory values you can go to the Defaults menu instead of the Properties menu and set those as your defaults. |
