xp, its a laptop that has a wireless internet connection... the one that plagues me the most is the 4614.. because sometimes when i go to log in i will type in my password then it will load the desktop, but just the wallpaper nothing else... and it will sit there for a moment then it will bring me back to the welcome screen prompting me to log in again, then when i log in that time it loads fine...

if you try logging in as a different user on this laptop does this still happen, do you still get these event errors, is the user shown the desktop and then logged back out?
If not, then it might be a corrupt profile. How to copy data from corrupt profile to new user profile: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;811151 |
