GoBack, MusicMatch, boot problem
I'm having trouble with my desktop machine.
XP Home, SP2 on its own partition, 2 other partitions and one other hd with 2 partitions. I was installing an older version of MusicMatch and the machine hung. Hit Reset button and got GoBack Internal Error Failure code gb_ui_support(1145), press any key to reboot, which loops endlessly. I googled the error and found I could disable goback by pressing Ctrl Alt G, and then F. There was a caution that I might lose data and I presumed (hoped) that meant goback data. Now the machine only wants to boot from CD. My full installation, licensed copy of XP loads up the temp files, I choose Restore and it only sees D. Can I get to C? Will I have to reformat it? Will I get the choice to just do C so that my other partitions are safe? I won't lose a lot in reformatting only C but naturally would prefer not to. Thanks in advance. mX |
