Win 2K to XP PRO
I just got XP pro upgrade disk, I am running win 2K, and would like to do the upgrade from 2k to xp..(but) if it is not user friendly to me would I be able to use the Acronis true image back up of my 2K OS that I have already stored on my second hard drive to revert back to win2k???

You have 30 days to activate it - don't waste the activation.

Another question my brother downloaded XPSP2 and put it on a disk for me(because I am using dial-up and he has broad band)..And I would like to integrate it to an all updated install disk before I install it to my computer, something will not let me access the disk to do so, Is there something in the XPSP2 file code that prevents win 2K from access???

Not that I know of.
Here's the procedure: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...slipstream.asp Copy it from the CD your brother gave you to the hard drive and remove the read-only attribute before you start. |

Get him to reburn it on a CDR - and make sure the disc is finalized. You could also use a USB key.

Same thing - but make sure it's finalized. Reburn it, it may be corrupted.

If that is the iso that you created using the slipstream process, that is an image of your new CD. Open it in your CD burning software and burn it. If you use Nero Express, it's create CD from image or saved project. That iso is probably over 400mb if you did it right.
