Send a message via Yahoo to Dodge7
email monitor

I would like a program that tells me if a person opened my email. Outlook does this, but it asks the reader whether they want me to know if they read it. I just want an indication that the email got through and when it was read.

Send a message via MSN to doctorgonzo
Read receipts require support from the recipient of the e-mail, so unless you are going to install the program on their computer to tell you when they read your e-mail, this will be impossible.

MSGTAG alerts you the moment an email you have sent is opened by the recipient. You ll know when the message was sent, when it was viewed, and the elapsed time in between. Unlike most other product of this kind, MSGTAG does not route your messages through any third part mail servers in order to tag them, but runs as a local SMTP server that inserts the tag into your outgoing mail. It works with most Windows email programs, including Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora etc. Once configured, each of your outgoing messages will contain a tag line that causes you to receive a confirmation message, sent to your email address, as soon as the email is read. The automatic setup will detect your existing email accounts and can optionally auto-configure your email client to work with MSGTAG (Incredimail, Mozilla, Netscape Mail, and Outlook). Additional pay-versions are available that allow you to customize the tag line and offer additional features.
