Outlooke Express whodunit?
When I left yesterday, everything was cool with the computer. When I got home this morning and tried to check mail in OE, I got the dreaded, Outlook Express has occured a problem and needs to shut down message. I'm running XP Pro. I restored to a previous point, but I still get the same message. I can't boot up in safemode because I have a wireless keyboard which doesn't actually become usable until I get to the login page. Well not exactly true. I can enter BIOS, but I can't boot into safemode. Is there anything else that I can do besides reinstalling Windows? Since I can't check my email, I'll just keep checking in for some help. Thanks in advance.

Not trying to be a jerk, but will it allow me to "fix" the problem in safemode?

It may very well. Sorry I can't specifically tell you what to do, but you indicated the desire to get into safe mode and that's the way to do it.

Alright, that didn't work either. Does you think my best bet is just to reload XP, or to do a reformat and clean install? BTW, while rebooting, I noticed "sysfader" wasn't responding. Could this be a part of the problem?

So you were running OE and now it doesn't work? Does anything else work? Have you run a full virus and Trogan scan?

OE is the only thing that doesn't work. IE works just fine. I'm thinking that someone changed something and is afraid to tell me they screwed up. Ran scans and I'm clean. I just can't figure it out.

Sysfader is part of your Nvidia graphics drivers.

Well, the uninstall and reinstall of OE didn't work. I already have SP2. I'm wondering if reinstalling SP2 over itself will work. I didn't think I could get so frustrated with this thing. Anyway, any more help will be greatly appreciated. I'm almost desperate enough to try a reinstall of Windows over itself.

Maybe I spoke too soon. I just tried again to open OE, and for some reason, this time it opened with no problems. Maybe the uninstall and reinstall of OE worked? I'm not sure, but I really don't care now that its back. I just wanted to thank everyone for the help.
