CPU usage 100%
My CPU usage goes up to 100% and stays there. The only way I can get it to go back down is to end explorer.exe. Of course then I can't really use the computer anymore. When I boot my computer up, it is normal. But after I open a few windows like IE, windows media player, etc, it goes to 100% and stays. This problem just started. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

probably do some spyware and adware scans.

when you bring up the task manager (ctrl alt del) the process thats using 100% of your cpu is probably the one causing the problem, and if it's explorer thats not good, could be more then just spyware may have a nasty virus
try doing one of those online virus scans, and hijack this works real good too. |

try going to internet options and clearing cookies, history, forms and temporary files that should help allot if you haven't done that recently

I'm having the same issue. in task manager the process taskmgr.exe is 56. vsmon.exe 11, explorer 11, and system idle process at 22. I ran a virus scan and spyware, it was stuck at 100 now its at 92. Can someone help?
