SFC on 2k3
Hello all,
I recently moved my server from an older pc to a newer pc. They had a similar setup so i was able to simpl ghost the drive over. I am slightly woried about file intergrity on teh new drive, and I was wondering if running SFC could possibly cuase problems with any domain/dns/exhange related setups. |

Are you concerned about the "drive" or the Operating System?
If it's the OS and it appears to be working correctly I'd leave it alone...

i was initaly concered about the OS. The event log was filled with errors and several refered to missing system components. On top of that the certificate service was missing files and could not longer start correctly. I finished loading all the drivers for the system, and reinstalled the certificate service. It seems to be running fine now with the exception of an Exchange warning referncing that the memory configuration is not optimized for exchange, A service error for the parralel port driver/service referncing that the device is missing (which is true, this mobo doesnt have parralel, but I dont know how to get rid of the error), and a third party service that hangs when ever the system starts but it then auto restarts it self and runs fine, and when NTbackup runs i get an ESENT error with referencing certsrv.exe. |
