"Cleaning" the registry
Does purging the Windows registry of orphan entries improve the performance of the operating system, or does it make any difference?

I don't know if it will make much difference, but it is good basic housekeeping. I use CCleaner to do it.

http://www.rosecitysoftware.com/reg1aid/ shows several performance bars that purport to show improvement in computer speed after using RFA. I wonder if this data is real or marketing mumbo-jumbo. I agree that it would seem to be good practice to remove dead wood. |

Of course it will - they are trying to sell it to you. Why buy something when a freebie does the job?
