Can Win98SE run IE 6.0?

Have an old Hp Pavilion running Win98SE with IE5.5. Can this OS run IE 6.0? If so, does anyone know of a stand alone download file for it? Many thanks.

Yes it can - and the easiest way to install it is use Windows Update. However, if you are using 5.5 now and it's working properly, I do not recommend IE6 unless there's something specific you need it for.

Here is the only way to get a standalone install:

Please note that you will need to change the download location to a folder where you can find the files afterwards. Do not download them to the same folder you downloaded the stub installer.

Thanks. Is there a way to use a download manager with this? I'm on dial up and worry I could keep losing the download since it's so large. Or does the MS down loader allow resume?

Nope - that's an online installer. No friends with broadband to get it for you?
