More problems with Recovery Console

I can get to it,but when it asks me for my password I put it in and it does nothing. I was told not to put the password in just to put Enter. I tried that and all I get is what's on the attachment..

Need help please.

Thanks

You are in it. Now you have to issue the appropriate commands.

Why is it asking for a password? I don't get it?

It's asking for a password to keep people out that shouldn't be in there

It has accepted your password. That is what the recovery console looks like. Now it is waiting for you to tell it what you want to do.I don't know is this will help, but this link will show you how it works http://www.digitalwebcast.com/articl...le.jsp?id=8658

Hope that helps

The point you're missing, jr, is that the password is Blank. When no password has been previously entered, hitting enter takes you directly to the Recovery Console. That's where you are in your pic. Now you just need to issue commands within the console to effect the repairs. See if these MS links help.

Not to beat a dead horse - but if you are at the C:\WINDOWS:> prompt, that IS the recovery console prompt. If it did not accept the password, it would simply be back to the Type the Adminstrator password prompt. The recovery console looks just like DOS and you have to use DOS commands.
