Hey, I've got a Dell laptop issued to me at work and I'm dying to install some old games on it. It's running XP. I get a lot of downtime at work and would love to game while on a flight or in a hotel room. I'm trying to install these games but I keep getting the "You need Admin Privileges" message. Is there a way to beat the system? Can I open/explore the CD and manually copy files where they need to be? There's an Install.EXE and an Autorun.EXE but everytime I try, it blocks me. Any ideas how I might be able to accomplish this? The game(s) I'm trying to install are Fallout and/or Fallout2. THANKS!

Since your IT dept. has locked down the laptop for loading programs, there is nothing we can do to help you. This would violate the PCMech rules on by passing log-ons/hacks/cracks/etc.
The only thing I can suggest is talk to your IT dept. about giving you some admin rights for log-in.
